We’re Wee Read – bringing reading & writing groups all across Scotland!
Wee Read is a growing Community Interest Company that aims to benefit the community, improving mental health and wellbeing by reading and writing. You can find our blog for news and current events, an overview of bibliotherapy and some of the research findings which support its benefits.
Wee Read CIC is a reading and writing social enterprise founded by Christine Cather and managed by a board of volunteers. Wee Read CIC offers group facilitation using text, stories, songs, poems etc. We promote conversations about mental illness and standing up against stigma that stops anyone expressing themselves.
All of us have dips in our mental health from time to time; for some it can be long lasting and intense. Everyone is welcome to join our groups. A wee read can be just the thing to refresh and uplift – especially with a good blether, tea and cake!
